Community Attempts To Break World Record
ClubBimmer.com is Organizing BMW Owners to Break Caravan Record
Kennesaw, GA (PRWEB) October 10, 2007 – ClubBimmer.com is proud to announce that it is going to attempt
to break the Guinness World Record for the most BMW automobiles
in a single convoy. The date for the record breaking attempt
will has not been finalized, but it should happen sometime in
April 2008.
Internet Community Partners (ICP) operates
ClubBimmer.com, an online community geared towards BMW owners
and enthusiast. The managers of ICP have a long history of
interest in BMW automobiles and wanted to share this enthusiasm
by creating ClubBimmer Forum; a free Internet community that
allows fellow BMW lovers to share ideas, buy and sell parts, buy
and sell used BMW's, and plan car shows and club events.
Mitchel DeFrancis, Content Manager of
ClubBimmer.com says, "BMW owners are enthusiasts who are very
loyal and proud fans of the mark. We think that BMW owners will
have a lot of fun helping us attempt to break this World
Record.” Mr. DeFrancis adds, “We are a BMW family and we wanted
to share our love for the brand by creating a friendly online
community for BMW owners and enthusiasts to visit. I've owned 2
BMWs, an E34 540i6 and my present daily driver, an E39 M5. I met
my wife Julie at a BMW event in 2003. She is on her second BMW,
an E36 318ti. Her first BMW was an E36 325 sedan. My brother
Danny also daily drives a BMW, his is a lovely Avus Blue E36 M3,
a very rare car.”
Making an attempt like this is possible
because of the growing use of Internet chat forums by automotive
enthusiasts. Automotive discussion forums have become an
important part of the car enthusiast community and Internet
Community Partners president, Bill Peirce has a lot of
experience in running successful discussion forums. Peirce
started FFCobra.com in 2002 to help people build Factory Five
Racing kit cars. As of today, FFCobra.com has over 14,500
members and receives over 2.8 million hits a month from people
who love the Factory Five products and Cobra replicas.
Mitch is well known in the Atlanta area as
an exotic and sports car expert. Besides owning a BMW M5, he
also has a Porsche 944 Turbo and Ferrari 308. “Mitch is well
respected within the automotive community and he brings a great
deal of expertise to ClubBimmer.com,” says Mr. Peirce. “I’m so
happy that Mitch is the Content Manager for the site because
with his help, the attempt to break the World Record should be
fun and well organized. Mitch has proven to be a leader in the
community and his site is quickly becoming the future hot spot
on the Internet for BMW owners,” adds Mr. Peirce.
